You have to experience nice things to know nice things feel nice

Heated bathroom floors feel nice. A pillow menu so you can customize how you sleep feels nice. A private balcony overlooking Yorkville? That feels really nice.

Those are only a few of the incredibly executed features that stood out during my recent visit to The Hazelton Hotel, where I toured the newly renovated Norman Jewison Cinema and revisited a selection of their suites.

Beyond the suites, the cinema offers something a little unexpected: serious potential for elevated, intimate events. Thoughtfully designed, the space includes a welcoming bar at the entrance, a foyer that can easily be transformed with custom décor or branded moments, and a beautifully built screening room that seats approximately 25 guests comfortably (or up to 30 for a more intimate, cozy experience). It’s the kind of space that invites creativity.

But what stood out most to me was the Bellair Suite.

I had previously attended an event there, and this visit was a reminder of just how well the space translates for intimate, high-impact experiences. It lends itself effortlessly to C-suite offsites, private cocktail gatherings, brand activations, I could go on and on. It’s refined without feeling restrictive, and flexible without losing that signature Hazelton polish.

It’s one of those spaces where you walk in and immediately start building ideas. Well at least I do!

And once you experience it, you understand exactly why The Hazelton Hotel is Canada’s first and only Forbes Five-Star independent luxury boutique hotel in Toronto.
